Workshop: Green Stormwater Opportunities
Municipalities are increasingly utilizing green stormwater infrastructure in their public works projects. Learn how you can incorporate these practices into your work and hear about local success stories. If you’re involved in municipal stormwater, engineering, and/or public works projects and want to do more with green stormwater infrastructure, this workshop is for you!
From green alleys to permeable parking surfaces, to bioswales and stormwater trees, here you’ll learn what green stormwater infrastructure looks like at a municipal level, why it makes sense, and how to make it a successful part of your toolbox. Learn about available cost-share funding opportunities and other incentives for these projects, too.
Join us on Wednesday, January 22 from 7:30 am - 10:00 am at the UWM School of Freshwater Sciences (600 E Greenfield Ave, Milwaukee, WI 53204).
