Public Education

Sweet Water has two public education programs: Respect Our Waters and Adopt Your Drain. Together, these programs look to educate the public about stormwater pollution prevention and provide the public with opportunities to take care of water resources within their own communities.

Both of these programs have their own websites. Check out the information below to learn more about each program, and then follow the links to get more involved!

 Respect Our Waters

We all live in a watershed! What we do on land has a direct connection to our local waterways.

Respect Our Waters provides residents of southeastern Wisconsin with the information and education to prevent stormwater pollution.

Our Spokesdog, Sparkles the Water Spaniel, educates southeastern Wisconsin on specific topics surrounding stormwater pollution.

This recognizable and friendly character helps everyone to understand their role in keeping our local lakes and rivers clean and healthy!

We attend events, post on social media, educate on television programming, host a website, conduct surveys, and otherwise work hard to reach the public on this important topic.
